On 9th March 2026, Dr D Y Patil Polytechnic, Kolhapur organised a Seminar on Entrepreneurship Development Program exclusively for third‑year diploma students. The Seminar, led by Mr Nitin Bhosale Founder, DNG Technologies, Kolhapur, aimed to ignite the entrepreneurial spark and equip young minds with the practical tools needed to start and manage their own ventures.

The program was designed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and the real challenges of entrepreneurship. Students not only learned about business fundamentals but also heard firsthand stories of failures, turnarounds, and success from an industry insider.

1. Overview

The Entrepreneurship Development Program focused on building an entrepreneurial mindset alongside actionable business skills. Keeping in view the background of diploma students, the content was delivered in a bilingual (English & Marathi) format to ensure maximum clarity.

The core modules covered:

  • Entrepreneurial personality development – leadership, risk appetite, decision making
  • How to select the right business – market demand, investment, skills
  • Conducting market surveys and preparing a project report
  • Sources of finance: bank loans, government schemes (PMEGP, Mudra, Startup India)
  • Necessary registrations: Udyam, GST, Shop & Establishment, FSSAI
  • Sales & management skills for sustainable business

The Seminar was highly interactive – students actively participated in group discussions, asked questions about funding, and shared their own business ideas. The energy in the room reflected the growing interest in self‑employment among technical diploma holders.

2. Key Highlights

One of the most appreciated parts of the program was the real‑world case studies presented by Nitin Bhosale. He walked students through the journey of DNG Technologies – from a small startup to a trusted IT solutions provider – highlighting the obstacles faced and the strategies that worked.

This Seminar also included a brief overview of the Seminar Booklet in Marathi (prepared specially for the event) which condensed all essential topics into a simple, student‑friendly guide. Additionally, the Presentation in English provided a modern, structured take on entrepreneurship development.

Another highlight was the interactive Q&A round. Students raised practical concerns – “How much capital do I really need to start a small business?”, “How can we stay consistently motivated while building and running our own business?” – and received clear, actionable answers. The college faculty later shared their appreciation, noting that the Seminar had “opened new windows of thought” for the students.

Conclusion

This Seminar on Entrepreneurship Development Program reaffirmed DNG Technologies’ commitment to nurturing the next generation of business leaders. By combining theoretical frameworks with grassroots realities, the program gave diploma students a solid foundation to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career path.

As a takeaway, every student received access to the two resource PDFs (detailed below). We strongly believe that with the right guidance and timely support, these young minds will contribute significantly to the local and national economy.

Are you a student or an aspiring entrepreneur? What steps will you take today to turn your business dream into reality?
